I loved my work for 15 years as a freelance writer. I've interviewed everyone from Governors to janitors and wrote articles for National, State, and Local newspapers and magazines. Most of these publications are gone now, replaced by e-magazines and Youtube. Times changed, but I have been blessed with a husband of 51 years, a true partner with the same values, who stood by me as my Immune System failed me, and I became disabled.
My current bliss is Genealogy. I am fascinated by family stories that has made dry history from books really come alive. I may have been blessed by genetics with "white privilege" but believe social and racial justice must be addressed by hard conversations, police reform legislation, and a focus on ending systemic racism. We also must have parity for Women in Politics, the Boardroom, and work for equal pay. And above all, women's full reproductive rights must be protected. This is why I joined NWPC. I want to be a part of the solutions, not part of the problems.
About the Sacramento NWPC
The mission of the Sacramento Chapter of the National Women’s Political Caucus is to increase women’s participation in the political process. We identify, recruit, train and support feminist women for election and appointment to public office at every level of government.
